WWE ’12 is a complete overhaul from Smackdown vs. RAW, so it only makes sense that the single player story/campaign mode has also undergone major changes. Gone are the four or five separate stories spanning three months, WWE ’12 features one real story that spans 18 months and comes in three acts.
The first act is the Villain story, where you’ll control the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. This story will run right into the next act, that of the Outsider where you take control of Triple H. And finally, that story runs into the final third act; the Hero’s story. The hero is a created wrestler, and actually has voice over work by none-other-than the reigning TNA X-Division champion, Austin Aries.
The trailer above has me even more pumped for WWE ’12 than I already was. I had planned on jumping right into Universe 2.0, but now I think I’ll play through the entirety of Road to WrestleMania before I do anything else.
November 22nd can’t get here fast enough!
