Today on WWE.com, “the WWE Board of Directors” released a memo announcing a huge 12-man tag match to take place at WrestleMania 28 with big ramifications. The match will be comprised of six men representing RAW interim-GM John Laurinaitis and six representing Smackdown general manager Teddy Long. Which ever team wins, that GM will become the permanent general manager of both RAW and Smackdown (further cementing the brand split as useless). The participants will be announced over the next couple of weeks on TV, as the two GM’s make their selections.
The rumor going around is Team Laurinaitis will consist of Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, David Otunga, Christian, Mark Henry and Alberto Del Rio, while Team Long will consist of Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Ezekiel Jackson, Santino, Great Khali and either Rey Mysterio or Evan Bourne. Personally, I hope that’s not the case, as I’d rather see Ziggler and Swagger replaced by McIntyre and Miz, and Kofi and Truth replaced by Zack Ryder and either Mason Ryan or Brodus Clay. That frees up those four individuals for a four-way tag team championship match between Epico/Primo, the Uso’s, Swagger/Ziggler, and Kofi/Truth.
