Capcom has announced the release date for DmC – Devil May Cry. The next installment in the popular franchise will hit store shelves on January 15, 2013 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. A PC version of the game will hit later in 2013.
DmC – Devil May Cry details the early years of Dante and is said to inject a more brutal and visceral edge into the franchise. The game, being developed by Ninja Theory and Capcom, will be featured at E3, as one would expect.
To go along with the release date, Capcom has unleashed three new screenshots and a piece of artwork showing off the character Kat. Kat is described as a “former runaway that joined The Order very early in her life. She is a medium and a gifted psychic who can see into Limbo, the demon realm, but not directly interact with it in the way that Dante does. She is the right hand girl to the Leader of The Order and devotes her life to him, often putting herself in grave danger to gather intelligence from Limbo.”
