Max Payne 3 Sees Slight Delay For PC Version

PC gamers anxious to get their hands on Max Payne 3 are going to have to wait just a few days longer. Take-Two revealed today that Max Payne 3 has been pushed back from May 29th to June 1st, so that the game can enjoy a global launch on the PC.

“Our community has always preferred a single worldwide launch date, and while we couldn’t make it happen for the console versions, we decided to work toward a global release for Max Payne 3 on PC,” said VP of Publishing Jennifer Kolbe. “Due to production and logistical issues we could not bring the European launch forward, so we worked with US retail to align with the original European launch window and set a new global release date of June 1.”

So instead of playing it Tuesday, you’re going to have to wait until Friday, which isn’t much of a wait (especially when you factor in that this game was originally announced for a winter 2009 release, and then 2010, and now here we are in May 2012 and the game is finally available for consoles).

While you wait, be sure and check out our review of Max Payne 3. The PC version will obviously look better, but there should be no other differences between the versions, so our PS3 review applies to the PC version as well.

  1. The PC version of this game is incredible. The DX11 eye candy cranked and the high resolution textures are truly an experience to behold. My sister walked by room the other day and saw me playing this and asked “What Blu-Ray movie are you watching?”

This is the best game I’ve played this year thus far. At the end of the year, it’s going to be on my shortlist. No question about it. It’s easily one of the best pure action games I’ve played in a long time if ever. No kidding. 5/5 stars all the way.
