Sony has announced the release date for Naughty Dog’s next game, The Last of Us. The highly anticipated PS3 exclusive will hit store shelves in North America and Europe on May 7, 2013.
Above is the story trailer, which premiered during Friday night’s Spike TV Video Game Awards.
In addition, Sony has announced that if you pre-order The Last of Us at a participating retailer, you’ll receive the Sights and Sounds pack. This pack includes the game’s official soundtrack, two PSN avatars, and a dynamic theme. Pre-order from GameStop and you’ll get the Survival Pack (as well as the Sights and Sounds pack). The Survival Pack includes: Bonus experience points for multiplayer, a multiplayer melee attack booster, some extra starting in-game cash, special customizable character items for multiplayer, and two special bonus skins for Joel and Ellie which will be unlocked after your complete the single player campaign.
This is my most anticipated game of next year. Cannot wait to finally play it.

Agreed, even more so than GTA V which comes out the same month. This game has so much potential. Hope the AI is as good as advertised (and considering it’s Naughty Dog, I’m sure it is).
