Defiance Season Pass Announced, Will Cost $39.99

We’ve known that Defiance would have a DLC season pass for a while now, after all the $150 Ultimate Edition (GameStop exclusive) of the game includes the season pass, but until now we didn’t know how much the season pass would cost or what all it’d have to offer.

Today though, Trion Worlds officially revealed the season pass for Defiance, and it’s going to run you $39.99 on PC and PS3, or 3200 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360.

The season pass includes five DLC packs that will be rolled out after launch (individually, these packs will be $9.99, so you’re saving $10 buy purchasing the season pass). Amongst the additional content, gamers will get a new playable alien species, new weapons and vehicles, missions and rewards, and two bonus items: an in-game Hellbug combat cap and a Lock Box.

You can see what the cap looks like in the pic below.

Defiance, the MMO third person shooter that will interact with the SyFy show of the same name, will hit stores on April 2nd. Those who pre-order the game will have a guaranteed invite to the upcoming PC/console beta (the date isn’t officially announced, but enough retailers have listed March 15-March 17 that it has to be true).

I’ve made it no secret that Defiance is my most anticipated upcoming game, so yes I’ll be jumping all over this Season Pass as soon as it becomes available on PSN.
