Your Xbox Gamerscore Will Carry Over To Xbox One

  Finally, some good Xbox One news to talk about! Those of you who have spent years gaming to increase your gamerscore and grab some achievements can rest easy: all of your work will carry over to Xbox One. You won't have to worry about someone stealing your gamer tag either, your account goes with you (which I think most people probably expected at this point). Fire up Xbox One, log in with your current account, and there is your achievements and your avatar waiting for you in the next generation. Sadly, and this is expected and it's the same with PlayStation 4, your digital game titles aren't going with you. It Seems Xbox One Has Mandatory Game Installs, Fees for Used Games

Remember recently when EA said they were doing away with online passes and everyone rejoiced? Remember how Sony confirmed that PlayStation 4 would play used games as before and everyone rejoiced? Yeah, well rumors are flying that Xbox One will require games to be installed (though you can play while it installs, similar to how PS4 is doing installs). More importantly, it seems that Microsoft will be charging you a fee to use the disc on a second account. What does that mean? It means you'll be able to trade in your Xbox One games or sell them, but if you buy a used game you're going to have to pay Microsoft a fee before you can install it. Microsoft is on fire today. Xbox One Doesn’t Work Without Kinect

Really, Xbox One just keeps sounding worse and worse. From IGN: "Kinect does require to be connected to Xbox One in all cases, yes," he said. Asked whether the Xbox One will accommodate people who perhaps play in their bedroom rather than their living room, Eagle replied: "Yes, absolutely. We use the living room almost as a moniker - that's where we assume the best screen is in the house. But if you like to play in any other room in the house, the Xbox One will deliver the same quality of experience whatever the environment." All-in-One Entertainment System, Xbox One, Requires Seperate Device

This isn't surprising and is what any sane person would have thought, but nevertheless it is humorous. Earlier today, Microsoft announced Xbox One and it is "the all-in-one entertainment system." In an hour long press conference, Microsoft spent roughly 30 minutes or more talking about things like TV and watching NFL with your fantasy stuff on the side of the screen. The monstrous Xbox One, this "all-in-one entertainment system," requires you to have a separate device if you want to access all that TV stuff that Microsoft went on and on and on about today. Edios Montreal’s THIEF Confirmed for Xbox One

Square Enix sent out a press release today confirming that THIEF, from the studio that brought us Deus Ex: Human Revolution, is coming to Xbox One. “The team at Eidos-Montreal is thrilled to confirm that THIEF is coming to Xbox One. The next generation of home consoles allow us to create the best and the most immersive THIEF game ever. The feedback we have received so far is simply amazing and we can’t wait to show more of THIEF at E3 this year” said Stephane D’Astous, General Manager, Eidos-Montréal. Ubisoft Confirms Watch_Dogs & Assassin’s Creed IV for Xbox One

From the "you don't say" department: Ubisoft has officially confirmed that both Watch_Dogs and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag are coming to Xbox One. We needed this confirmation because "available on PlayStation 4 and other next-gen platforms" simply wasn't clear. Of course Ubisoft will get no lover from a Xbox press event, because they give exclusive content (mainly missions, and including both Assassin's Creed IV and Watch_Dogs) to PlayStation. Microsoft Announces Xbox One, Coming This Year

Microsoft revealed the next generation of Xbox today and it's called "Xbox One." It's named that because it's the "all-in-one entertainment system." And when they say entertainment they mean it. Xbox One will allow you to watch TV, view a program guide, watch movies, watch sporting events and keep up with your fantasy teams. You'll be able to Skype with friends and browse the Internet with Internet Explorer. Oh, and it plays some games too. It has improved Kinect and a redesigned controller that looks mostly the same but actually "looks and feels different." Sweet. Xbox One is coming out sometime this year.
