Review: Dishonored (PC)

October 10, 2012 // 5 Comments

Dishonored (PC [Reviewed], Playstation 3, Xbox 360) Developer: Arkane Studios Publisher: Bethesda Genre(s): First Person RPG/FPS Sim Released: October 9, 2012 ESRB Rating: M – Mature Arkane Studios consists of veterans from the Deus Ex series, Half life series, Thief games and has been 3 years in the making and I’m happy to report the wait was well worth it. It would have been huge shock and arguably one of the biggest letdowns in gaming in years had it not been given the pedigree of the talent that created this game. I’m a huge fan of these kinds of games and I’m thrilled to [...]

Our Three Most Wanted Games of Fall 2012

October 8, 2012 // 3 Comments

* This article looks best in a full browser window. Mobile users, sorry it may not appear correctly. It’s a very image heavy article. We’re in the second week of October already, which means the Fall gaming season is already underway. This season is absolutely stacked with huge releases and a console launch by Nintendo. For us gamers, there is a ton of stuff to be excited for this season and that means hurting wallets and crying bank accounts. The above banner features the box art for 10 games coming out over the next two months, but even that is just a small sample of [...]

Choose Your Path to Revenge In This Interactive Dishonored Trailer

October 4, 2012 // 1 Comment

It’s the week of the interactive trailer for games that come out October 9th apparently. Earlier this week we had the epic XCOM interactive trailer that basically served as a demo tutorial, and today Bethesda has released an interactive trailer for Dishonored titled “Path to Revenge.” There’s a branch in this trailer that allows for a non-violent playthrough, which is how I want to actually play the game.  The trailer is best played in full screen. Dishonored is arriving in stores this coming Tuesday, October 9th, for PC, PS3, and Xbox [...]

Huge congrats to Arkane’s Lyon and Austin offices, as well as everyone else involved with the project. We also send along our congratulations to the team who have been working on the game for the past three years. We’ll know in 11 days how good the game is, but everything we’ve [...]

Check Out This 30 Second TV Spot for Dishonored

September 28, 2012 // 0 Comments

Dishonored is coming to stores in North America in 11 days, on October 9th. The above video is a TV spot that’s running to advertise the game, and if I didn’t already know about the game it would definitely make me interested. It’s a really good 30 second TV spot. Maybe too much killing in it though. I only say that though because I’m really wanting to play through this game without killing anyone, and judging from all the stuff I’ve seen on the game, that’s going to be quite a challenge. Thankfully it’s a challenge I’ll gladly take on. [...]

September 26, 2012 // 0 Comments

Bethesda has quickly rolled out part two of their three part webisode prequel series to Dishonored called “Tales from Dunwall.” You can check out out episode, The Hand that Feeds, above. From the official description: While the first episode reveals how Dunwall was revolutionized by a new energy source, this next chapter is a cautionary tale – one that illustrates the advantages, and the dangerous disadvantages, of accepting supernatural abilities from The Outsider. Working with Bethesda and its marketing agency, Rokkan, Psyop created the online series to give gamers a [...]

Created by Psyop, each episode was predominantly produced by hand. Each frame [...]
