Console Version of The Elder Scrolls Online Delayed Six Months

May 8, 2014 // 2 Comments

The Elder Scrolls Online released last month for PC, and it was scheduled to release in June for both PS4 and Xbox One. That isn’t going to happen now due problems Bethesda is facing with getting their systems integrated with the PlayStation and Xbox networks. They reckon they’ll need around six months to get it ready, so don’t expect to play Elder Scrolls Online on your console anytime soon unfortunately. Here’s a statement released by Bethesda this morning: We’ve been grateful to our fans for the wonderful response to our recent launch of The Elder Scrolls Online [...]

Meet the Three Playable Factions In The Elder Scrolls Online

May 6, 2012 // 0 Comments

ZeniMax Online’s upcoming MMO The Elder Scrolls Online will feature three playable factions and a fourth non-playable one. The three playable factions are made up of three races: The Ebonheart Pact consists of Nords, Dunmer, and Argonians from the Northern and Eastern regions. The Aldmeri Dominion consists of Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajiit from the South and South West regions.  The Daggerfall Covenant consists of Bretons, Redguards, and Orcs from the North West regions. Assuming I were to play this, and that would depend on subscription price/model, it looks like I’d be a part of [...]

First Screenshot of The Elder Scrolls Online is a Little Disappointing

May 5, 2012 // 1 Comment

Game Informer has the first screenshot up of The Elder Scrolls Online, the upcoming MMO being developed by ZeniMax Online that will take players across the whole of Tamriel, as well as a few details regarding what’s going on in the picture (which you can read here). You can view the screenshot below. It’s quite disappointing to me to be honest, although I guess it really shouldn’t be. It looks more cartoonish than the single player Elder Scrolls games, and is a bit of a shock coming from the absolutely gorgeous Skyrim to this. Then again, and to be fair, this is an [...]

Watch The Announcement Trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online

May 4, 2012 // 0 Comments

Bethesda has dropped the debut/announcement teaser trailer for the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online MMO game that was announced yesterday. As you would expect, there’s not not much in it; it is after all an announcement teaser. I would expect this to be a big thing at E3 though, so we shouldn’t have to wait terribly long before we start seeing some gameplay from this. I’m on the fence, personally. The Elder Scrolls is a fantastic series, and the most recent one, Skyrim, was amazing. So for that reason, I’m definitely interested in this. On the other hand, I’m not a [...]

Bethesda has revealed the name of the first piece of DLC for Skyrim, and it’s titled Dawnguard. The DLC is announced as coming this summer to Xbox 360. There’s no mention of Playstation 3 or PC, but one should expect Dawnguard to hit those platforms within a month or two afterwards. There’s been no further details released; Bethesda has said more details will arrive regarding Dawnguard during E3, which is just a little over a month [...]

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Gameplay From Tokyo Game Show

September 15, 2011 // 2 Comments

Itching for more Skyrim footage? Of course you are. Luckily, GameTrailers is in Tokyo attending the Tokyo Game Show and have provided two new gameplay videos of Skyrim. The first video shows some third person and first person action, running around and in combat. The more third person videos I see the better, because third person is how I’ll play probably 90% of the time. Part two shows off more of the same; combat in both third and first person, but also shows the village/town of Riverwood. You can watch part two after the [...]

Play As A Vampire Again In Skyrim

September 12, 2011 // 0 Comments

Todd Howard (Skyrim director), speaking with G4TV, confirmed that players will be able to play as a vampire in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. As has previously been the case, players can be infected with the disease which will slowly transform your character (as shown in the image above) into a vampire. You’ll have the choice to go find a cure or play the remainder of the game as a vampire. Playing as a vampire has its strengths, such as increased power and if you are in need of health all you have to do is feed on some sleeping person. But of course, sunlight will cause harm you, so [...]

20 Minutes of Skyrim Gameplay With Todd Howard

September 12, 2011 // 0 Comments

Bethesda has dropped 20 glorious minutes of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim gameplay demo for gamers to gawk over. The 20 demo is broken up into three parts (part one seen above, two and three below) and features commentary by the game’s director Todd Howard. I’m probably in the minority, but I’ll be playing Skyrim in third person as I am in my playthrough of Oblivion. Well, third person until I need to shoot something with my bow and arrow or get into a tough battle with something and need to be able to see a little better. Obviously the game will look best on an high end PC, [...]
