PlayStation Plus Lineup for December Is Very Good

November 26, 2014 // 1 Comment

Here’s the lineup of games coming free to PlayStation Plus subscribers in December. As previously revealed, the month marks the first time a retail PS4 game has been offered. It also includes another day one indie release, plus some retail PS3 games. All in all, it’s going to be a very good month for me because I own none of these games and have wanted all of them except the Vita game. Here’s hoping there’s a decent sale on Plus membership this week, as my subscription needs to be renewed on the 29th. Here’s the rundown from the Official PlayStation Blog: [...]

Now Gaming: What We’re Playing This Week (November Week 3)

November 18, 2014 // 1 Comment

It’s been one week since we first did this, and during that time some big games have released. But just because a bunch of new games are out doesn’t mean the old ones need to be cast aside. This week, there’s only three of us: me, Brian, and Jules. Here’s what we’re playing during this third week of November. A Jack of Many Trades: On Monday, I finished off Prey for the 360. My intention is to move on to Resistance: Burning Skies for the PS Vita as I should be able to knock out what I have left of that in fairly short order, but in the meantime I’ve found [...]

15 Minutes of Game: Rogue Legacy

July 24, 2014 // 1 Comment

We’re back for the third time this week with another 15 Minutes of Game, this time looking at the superb indie roguelike game Rogue Legacy. I had a few decent runs during this video, and it ends on a high note as I was able to vanquish the first boss, that giant eyeball of doom known as Khidr. I think it took me 37 deaths before I made it and defeated the boss. I’ll have a full review of Rogue Legacy coming this week. The game hits PS4, PS3, and PS Vita on Tuesday, July 29th. It is a cross-buy/cross-save title and is available to pre-order now for $16.99 ($13.99 if you’re a [...]

Review: MouseCraft

July 14, 2014 // 3 Comments

There may be a drought of big release titles on the new gaming consoles, but one thing PS4 isn't lacking is quality indie titles. A couple of these digital games release every month, and July started off hot with the release of MouseCraft from Curve Studios. MouseCraft is a “simple” puzzle game in the vein of something like Lemmings only much more enjoyable in this day and age. You're tasked with helping three mice get past a series of obstacles to get to the cheese. To complete the level, you only need to get one mouse to the cheese. [...]
