PlayStation Plus Lineup for December Is Very Good

PS Plus

Here's the lineup of games coming free to PlayStation Plus subscribers in December. As previously revealed, the month marks the first time a retail PS4 game has been offered. It also includes another day one indie release, plus some retail PS3 games. All in all, it's going to be a very good month for me because I own none of these games and have wanted all of them except the Vita game. Here's hoping there's a decent sale on Plus membership this week, as my subscription needs to be renewed on the 29th. Here's the rundown from the Official PlayStation Blog: Injustice: Gods Among Us – Ultimate Edition (PS4) Injustice: Gods Among Us – Ultimate Edition enhances the bold new franchise to the fighting game genre from NetherRealm Studios. Featuring six new playable characters, over 30 new … [Read more...]

Now Gaming: What We’re Playing This Week (November Week 3)

nowgaming

It's been one week since we first did this, and during that time some big games have released. But just because a bunch of new games are out doesn't mean the old ones need to be cast aside. This week, there's only three of us: me, Brian, and Jules. Here's what we're playing during this third week of November. A Jack of Many Trades: On Monday, I finished off Prey for the 360. My intention is to move on to Resistance: Burning Skies for the PS Vita as I should be able to knock out what I have left of that in fairly short order, but in the meantime I've found myself bouncing around between WWE 2K13 and 2K14, as well as restarting my NBA 2K14 MyGM franchise, where I won my opener against the Pistons with the Wizards, but managed to see my starting back court both go down for at least a week … [Read more...]

Review: Rogue Legacy

rogue-legacy

Rogue Legacy (PS4 [Reviewed], PS3, PS Vita, PC) Developer: Cellar Door Games Publisher: Cellar Door Games Genre(s): Roguelike, 2D Platformer Released: July 29, 2014 (PlayStation Systems), June 27, 2013 (PC) ESRB: T - Teen Rogue Legacy was a critical hit when it released on PC a little over a year ago, and today Cellar Door Games have brought their hit title to PS4, PS3, and PS Vita with cross-buy and cross-save. Rogue Legacy is now available on the PlayStation Store for $16.99, and that's a great price since you're getting it for three systems and because the game is superb. I became a fan of the “roguelike,” or in this case “roguelite,” genre last year (I know, way late to the genre party) when Spelunky came to PS3. There's something about the procedurally generated worlds and old … [Read more...]
