Review: Playstation 4

November 23, 2013 // 2 Comments

Here we are already a week after Sony has released it’s fourth entry into the home console world.  Coming into the launch the console seemed to be poised to make a big splash, and had quite a bit of momentum behind it.  It was clear that Sony had taken note of the misfires that may have led it’s PS3 to a slower start than desired and wanted to not only build on the great success the PS3 had achieved in recent years; but also prove themselves to the undisputed king of entertainment.  The sales numbers alone show that they were very successful in winning over a very large crowd [...]

Review: Knack

November 18, 2013 // 3 Comments

I was admittedly a bit late to the Knack party prior to launch.  I had heard the name and knew it was an exclusive launch title coming out for the Playstation 4 and that was more or less the extent of my knowledge.  It wasn’t until our own Gary Smith put some information in our forums that I started to become somewhat interested in the title.  From there the more and more I researched it seemed the more I would become excited for the game.  Fast forward to now and not only have I had time to sit and digest the game but I’ve had time to complete a play through.  So the [...]

Why I’m Postponing Purchasing A Next Gen Console

November 4, 2013 // 4 Comments

The next generation of video game consoles is just a couple of weeks away now, and many are just terribly excited about it. And why wouldn’t you be, if you’re a console gamer anyway? New hardware that is capable of better graphics and more things on screen, new features, and all sorts of things that supposedly will make gaming better. So, why am I giving the next gen a launch day pass? Truth be told, I was initially quite excited about the release of the PS4. I ripped the Xbox One to shreds of course, but then they went and did their 180 and that apparently made everything better. But [...]
