Spoiler: TNA Impact To Become Impact Wrestling

May 3, 2011 // 2 Comments

At tonight’s Impact taping, Mick Foley was revealed as being the head of the “Network.” Foley then made the announcement that TNA Impact was now to be known as Impact Wrestling, and that the program would be all about wrestling from this point forward. ProWrestling.NET’s Jason Powell says his source states that the name change is only for the television show, and not a full name change for the company. That’s true technically, but I imagine the mention of TNA on air will be phased out.  To back up my belief on that, TNA Entertainment has registered the domain [...]

Jay Lethal Released By TNA Wrestling

April 21, 2011 // 1 Comment

Former TNA X-Division Champion Jay Lethal has been released by TNA. Stinger’s View: Unlike WWE, TNA doesn’t announce when they release someone on their website. You just never see the person again (or for quite some time if they get hired back). TNA did remove his profile from their roster page, which was pretty quick because TNA has been known to leave profiles up for many weeks after releasing someone. Lethal hasn’t been used much back TNA as of late, and that’s surprising to me. Here’s a guy who is young and extremely talented, whose defeated Kurt Angle on [...]
