The Five Games That Need To Be Remastered For PS4

One year into the lifespan of PS4 and we've already seen quite a few remastered versions come to the system that were previously on PS3. The Last of Us Remastered as the big exclusive, but other titles like Grand Theft Auto V, Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider, Diablo 3, and Metro Redux are some. Next year will see Dark Souls 2 come to the system, and I'm sure even more announcements of remasters will be coming. These are largely cash grabs, but I'm okay with that. I'd like to be able to play prettier, better performing versions of the games I already enjoy on my newer system. So with that said, here are the five games I most want to see remastered for PS4 (and Xbox One as well, with the exception of the first one since it's a Sony first party game). Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: … [Read more...]

Naughty Dog Announces Uncharted for PS4

During tonight's live PS4 All Access event, Naughty Dog announced Uncharted for the PS4 in the form of a teaser trailer. Check it out above. There was no number attached, nor a subtitle. At this point, it still isn't known if its a Nathan Drake adventure or if the series is going in a new direction similar to Second Son. Nevertheless, it's Naughty Dog and it's Uncharted, and that's all I need to know. What do you think of the teaser? … [Read more...]

Upcoming Patch 1.11 Brings The Lab and Elimination Mode To Uncharted 3

Some time this month, Uncharted 3 will get another patch, 1.11. Naughty Dog has revealed the details of this one, and it's bringing some fan requested modes back from Uncharted 2. The Lab is coming. As Naughty Dog describes it: "The Lab is a playlist featuring a unique series of multiplayer game types that our designers have concocted that focus on, above all, being fun." The first lab experiment will be a Team Deathmatch based T-bolt/Pistole only map. The rest of the patch is talked about in the above video by Uncharted 3’s Lead Multiplayer Designer, Robert Cogburn, and Game Director, Justin Richmond. Here's the list of things the patch does: The Lab returns and we begin the playlist with a T-bolt/Pistole only map. We will be rolling out other game types as the year … [Read more...]

Review: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (Playstation 3) Developer: Naughty Dog Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment Genre(s): Action Adventure, Platform, Third Person Shooter Released: November 1, 2011 ESRB Rating: T – Teen Uncharted 3 was my most anticipated game of the year. It’s been a week since its release, and I have finished the single player campaign twice (Normal and Crushing), and I can safely say that it lived up to my anticipation and expectations. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves set the bar extremely high, and I believe Naughty Dog are right when they say the kind of jump between Uncharted to Uncharted 2 can only happen once a generation. Where Among Thieves vastly improved in every way over the first game, Drake’s Deception is only a minor step above the second in the series. One of … [Read more...]

Uncharted 3 Co-op Adventure Gameplay

The above video from GameTrailers shows off some gameplay footage of Uncharted 3's co-op adventure mode, and it looks fantastic. You'll probably recognize some Uncharted 2 characters in there (as well as one from the first game), and the different adventure maps (one of which is also from the first game). I've been playing Uncharted 3's competitive multiplayer all month long, Team Objective, but co-op is what I'm looking forward to the most (besides the single player, obviously). During the June/July beta, I played co-op (adventure and arena) almost exclusively all the way up to level 30 something. Once I beat the single player, my time spent with Uncharted 3 online will be 95% spent on co-op. If you're going to be playing co-op in Uncharted 3 next week, feel free to add me on PSN. … [Read more...]
