This time out the movie we will be taking a look at is none other than 1983’s suggestively titled ‘Octopussy’. This movie marked the sixth appearance in the James Bond role for Roger Moore, officially tying him at that point with Sean Connery for [...]

Review: LIMBO

July 20, 2011 // 1 Comment

PLATFORM:  PS3, Xbox 360, PC PUBLISHER:  Playdead DEVELOPER:  Playdead GENRE(S):  2D Puzzle-Platformer RELEASED:  July 21, 2010 (XBLA), July 19, 2011 (PSN), August 2, 2011 (Steam) ESRB RATING:  T – Teen Limbo was released July of last year on Xbox LIVE Arcade, and it garnered a lot of attention and praise. It had my interest, but I didn’t have an Xbox 360. Thankfully, a year later, Limbo hit the Playstation Network today and I have finally gotten to experience the wonderful indie game that is Limbo. Limbo is a “simple” 2D puzzle-platformer that takes place in a [...]

In recent years, EA has been working on improving their presentation in a continuing effort to make it more and more like an ESPN broadcast, [...]

Catherine PS3 Demo Impressions

July 14, 2011 // 1 Comment

The demo for Catherine hit the Playstation Network and Xbox LIVE on Tuesday, and I found the time to tear myself away from NCAA Football 12 yesterday to try it out and went back to it a few minutes ago to give it another test spin. Now, I’m ready to give my impressions of the Catherine PS3 demo. Right off the bat, this was never a game that I intended on buying simply based off the videos. The demo did nothing to sway my opinion, if anything it actually reinforced it. This just isn’t a game for me and I don’t see it being successful at all in the United States. I’ll [...]

Card Subject To Change Review

July 12, 2011 // 3 Comments

Synopsis: CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE: PRO WRESTLING’S UNDERGROUND takes you deep inside the underground world of professional wrestling. This compelling film follows several wrestlers as they make their way through local VFW halls, high school gyms and Elks’ lodges grinding it out on the independent circuit where the payouts can range from $5 to $20 per match. Some do it for the love of the sport, others desperate to make it big; it is both heart-pounding and heart-wrenching. Tim Disbrow makes his directorial debut as he documents the circuit’s standouts, including: Kevin Sullivan, Michael [...]

‘El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron’ PS3 Demo Impressions

July 7, 2011 // 3 Comments

What did I just play? In the literal sense, it was the demo of Ignition Entertainment’s El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, a Japanese action game. But past that, I don’t have a clue about what I played. I know I liked it though! Here’s what I know from simply playing the demo. You play as the biblical character Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. There’s some chick fallen angel named Ezekiel that’s watching you as you make your way through the Tower of Babel, presumably to slay Ezekiel. Honestly, there’s not much telling you whats going on in this [...]

Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta Impressions

July 6, 2011 // 4 Comments

Since the Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta is now open to everyone with a PSN account, and I’ve been playing it for over a week now, now is as good a time as any to post my Beta Impressions. I’ve hit level 28 or 29 at this point, and have really enjoyed my time with the beta. I prefer the co-op to the competitive, which is why I haven’t played that much of the beta since Monday when they switched out Co-op Arena with Co-op Hunter. Co-op Hunter is essentially a co-op/competitive hybrid that sees two human players versus two human players with AI teammates. The heroes have to [...]
