UFC Announces Restructured Post Fight Bonus Awards

UFC has announced a change to their existing Post Fight Bonus Awards.  Previously the UFC had awarded bonuses for what they deemed to be “Fight of the Night”, “Knockout of the Night” and “Submission of the Night.”  As part of the restructured plan $50,000 will be awarded to each fighter in the bout deemed to be “Fight of the Night” as well as two general $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonuses replacing the previous “Knockout of the Night” and “Submission of the Night” awards.  The restructuring of the plan allows the UFC to hand out four bonus checks every card whereas before a situation could previously arrive where a card could be without a knockout or submission thus a check wouldn’t be awarded under the old system.

The new bonus plan is expected to go into effect immediately starting with this weekend’s Fight Night 36 card in Brazil.
