15 Minutes of Game: Rogue Legacy

We’re back for the third time this week with another 15 Minutes of Game, this time looking at the superb indie roguelike game Rogue Legacy.

I had a few decent runs during this video, and it ends on a high note as I was able to vanquish the first boss, that giant eyeball of doom known as Khidr. I think it took me 37 deaths before I made it and defeated the boss.

I’ll have a full review of Rogue Legacy coming this week. The game hits PS4, PS3, and PS Vita on Tuesday, July 29th. It is a cross-buy/cross-save title and is available to pre-order now for $16.99 ($13.99 if you’re a PS Plus member). It’s been on PC for over a year. This video is of the PS4 version.

I’ll have a separate post going up later today about it, but Rogue Legacy will be the subject of a new feature we’ll be doing called The Daily Rogue. That will be a 30-45 minute live stream of Rogue Legacy runs Monday through Friday. The live runs will happen on our Twitch channel (follow us) and will be exported to our YouTube channel (subscribe to us) and posted right here on the site later in the day.

That something that others were doing, and that I wanted to do, with Spelunky (which I’ll finally get to do once that hits PS4 later this year).

  1. Glad to hear you’re enjoying Rogue Legacy! It seems I waited too long to get a review copy, but I may end up grabbing it anyway. It’s gotta be a perfect fit for the Vita.
