Change comes to Destiny Daily today; we have a new banner above, the sidebar is gone, the post is better laid out, and finally there’s more information contained. I’ve tried it out the past two days, and I think it works out well enough, so today also marks the official begin of the Destiny Daily Live Stream. Each day at the bottom of the post, I’ll be doing a 30 minute to one hour live stream beginning at roughly 11am CT. No commentary at the moment as I have mic issues, but they may come in the future.
If you prefer the old, plain layout then let me know and I’ll revert back to doing that way. In the meantime, here are the daily bounties for 10/23:

Daily Heroic Mission: Shrine of Oryx
Location: Ocean of Storms, Moon
- Search the darkest corners of the Hellmouth for the fabled Shrine and destroy it.
- HEROIC – Enemies appear in greater numbers and are more aggressive.
- LIGHTSWITCH – Minions of Darkness deal much more melee damage.

Shrine of Oryx is a fairly easy mission, although it can certainly be difficult if you allow it to be. You can run right past pretty much everything to get to the end of the mission, where you’ll be battling the giant Knight, Sardok. If you choose to fight your way to the end though, you’ll be gunning down both Fallen and Hive. And the Hive will bring out Knights, Wizards, and even an Ogre. Again, none of that is a problem unless you let it be.
Definitely watch out for the Thrall’s though. You don’t want to get close to anything, unless you’re sure that you can melee kill it before it can hit you. The lightswitch modifier means you’re probably going to get killed by one melee hit, if not one then definitely two. So keep enemies in front of you and don’t let them get within melee range. That’s easy to do with most of the enemies, but the Thrall’s can be tricky. There’s one spot where a bunch of Thrall’s will rush out at you, and they’ll have a Knight behind them. If you aren’t ready for it, you’re probably going to die.
Bring a good sniper rifle with you; Ice Breaker if you have it. Take out the trash that comes in around Sardok when you have too, but your primary focus should be dodging projectiles and shooting Sardok in the head. Sardok isn’t hard, and should go down fairly quick. Keep an eye out for Thrall’s and watch your back, because they can and will come up behind you depending on your position.
