Skyrim: Special Edition Announced For PS4, Xbox One, and PC

Bethesda has officially announced that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is heading to PS4 and Xbox One with a remastered version dubbed “Skyrim: Special Edition.”

The Special Edition is sporting enhanced graphics, including things like “volumetric god rays,” and will be bringing the PC mods to console.

If you own Skyrim and all of the DLC, or the Legendary Edition on Steam, then you’ll be able to get Special Edition on PC for free.

You can check out the trailer below:

Skyrim: Special Edition will hit stores on October 28th.

Smith’s Sentiment: I look forward to this. Despite its many issues, I enjoyed Skyrim on PS3 as best as I could. I would have to image the PS4 version will run a lot better, and of course the addition of the PC mods are just going to make it all the better and give us console players access to a lot of good stuff that the PC folks always get.
