A few months back, I split wrestling from Vortex Effect and created a wrestling only site called Pro Wrestling Post. Looking back, that probably wasn’t a good idea and truth be told I should’ve learned that lesson a couple of years ago when we tried the same thing by splintering off the movie content with Cinema Vortex.
As of today, Pro Wrestling Post no longer really exists as a separate website (it won’t officially die until next year when the domain expires). Instead, PWP has been merged back with Vortex Effect, but in a different way than it was before the split.
If you look at the homepage now, you’ll see the seven latest updates to Vortex Effect. What you won’t see in that section is wrestling content. That’s because it only displays the latest updates from Video Games, Movies & TV, Features, Books, and Misc.
Underneath the “Latest Updates” on the homepage is a section for wrestling content, and it’s under the Pro Wrestling Post banner.
I think that does a well enough job of separating the content, so if you don’t care about wrestling you don’t have to see it, while also allowing the site to stay whole.
