Rockstar Games is working gamers into a frenzy today, tweeting out a simple red image with the Rockstar logo (seen above), while also changing their website to the same red screen. The red background is in the style of Red Dead materials, and well that can only mean one thing… Rockstar is gearing up for an announcement for Red Dead.
Now are we looking at a tease for a remastering of Red Dead Redemption, or an actual sequel? Could it be both, or something else entirely? Whatever it is, odds are we’ll find out pretty soon, and possibly even this week.
Red Dead Redemption released on May 18, 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360. The game scored a perfect 5 stars in our review.
Smith’s Sentiment: Get hyped ladies and gentlemen. Destiny is my main game now, but prior to its release Red Dead Redemption was my game and logged more hours into it than any other game to that point. It is an absolute masterpiece.
Of course I want a big sequel. I think that’s what this will be. But even so, I’m in the camp that would absolutely love a remaster of Red Dead Redemption for PS4 (and other platforms). Can’t wait to see what Rockstar has in store for us. Fingers crossed for a trailer this week; it has been a very long wait.
