Middle-earth: Shadow of War Officially Announced

Shadow of War

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions have officially announced Middle-earth: Shadow of War today. The sequel to Shadow of Mordor, Shadow of War takes place directly following the first title and will expand on the popular “Nemesis System.”

The expanded Nemesis System will include the environment, including Nemesis Fortresses, and other characters like followers who will have their own stories involving “loyalty, betrayal, and revenge.” With the Fortresses, you’ll be able to create your very own orc army.

Shadow of War will hit stores on August 22, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and will obviously support PS4 Pro and Project Scorpio. Monolith have also announced two Nemesis expansions for the game titled Slaughter Tribe and Outlaw Tribe (these will include new orc tribes, fortresses, equipment, missions, and more) and also two story expansions titled Blade of Galadriel and Desolation of Mordor (each with a new campaign, playable character abilities, missions, allies, and more).

Check out the trailer below, and you can pre-order the game starting today from Amazon here.
