Ubisoft has released the official reveal trailer and release date for Far Cry 5.
The game, developed by Ubisoft Montreal, will release on February 27, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Far Cry 5 takes place in Hope County, Montana, but you’ll get to play in the entire open world state of Montana in either single player or two player co-op.
In Far Cry 5, you play as a Hope County junior deputy. A cult, known as Project at Eden’s Gate, is attempting to take over your county and they’ve cut off access to the outside world. You’ll have to form a resistance band and take the fight to them across Montana through forests, mountains, rivers, and farms.
To aid you in your quest you’ll be able to recruit both human and animal groups to fight alongside you.
The map editor will also return in Far Cry 5, and if you purchase the game on PS4 you’ll get a free in-game skin pack. You can pre-order now.
