Spider-Man: Homecoming Inspired Event Lands on Marvel Heroes Omega PS4/Xbox One + Patch Notes 1.08

Marvel Heroes Omega

Marvel Heroes Omega received a new update today on PS4 and Xbox One that has brought the first event for console version of the game, this one inspired by Spider-Man: Homecoming.

You’ll be able to take on a new Operation: Daily Bugle, which you must be level 11 to unlock. This will put you against a random assortment of villains who have been members of the Sinister Six. In addition there’s a new legendary mission called Vulture’s Vengeance, also unlocked at level 11.

The Daily Bugle Event, which is account based, features the Daily Bugle Beatdown which will reward an artifact called the Daily Bugle Press Badge. There’s a new legendary item, new medallions, and new artifacts, as well as special StarhTech crafting materials that are only available during the Daily Bugle Event.

You can read the the full patch notes for 1.08 here. Highlights include new VIP Account Status, detailed below:

Becoming a VIP in Marvel Heroes Omega is simple! The first time you purchase Gs from the in-game store or purchased any bundle pack through the PSN Store, your account will be permanently upgraded to VIP status! Any accounts that have already made a Gs or pack purchase prior to this update will automatically be upgraded to VIP account status.

All VIP accounts gain access to the following permanent upgrades to their Marvel Heroes Omega account:

  • Nightcrawler playable Hero unlocked (VIP timed exclusive)

In addition, you will also receive a free bonus one-time only Marvelous Loot Box upon upgrading!

PC folks also get a new playable villain today, Carnage.

All in all, it looks like a great update and I’m excited to get back to in it and check out the Event with the operation and legendary mission. Also excited to take try out the new hero, Nightcrawler.

Marvel Heroes Omega is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One as a free-to-play title, and if you haven’t already, you really should check it out as it is one of the best free-to-play games on console at the moment.
