Bungie Delays Prestige Raid One Week to Fix Exploit

Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid

Guardians, if you were like me and looking forward to diving into the Prestige version of the Leviathan raid tomorrow, semi-bad news. Bungie announced today that the Prestige mode will not be releasing tomorrow as announced last Thursday. Due to an exploit, the Prestige mode will now launch next week, Wednesday, October 18th at 12pm CT.

Here’s the announcement from Community Manager, Cozmo on the official Bungie forums:

An exploit has been discovered in the Leviathan Raid that causes the encounters to be stripped of their intended challenge. To allow time to fix this issue, we are delaying the start of the Prestige Raid until next week. It’s important to us that the team who earns World First status doesn’t have their legacy tarnished by doubt, skepticism, or uncertainty.

The new start time for the Prestige Raid is Wednesday, October 18, at 10AM Pacific.

Patriot’s Pondering: That’s a bit of a bummer, but at least we still have Iron Banner to grind out without Prestige attempts getting in the way AND it allows Bungie time to fix the exploit so no one can cheese their way to victory in what should be the hardest PvE content in the game. Had a group ready to dive in tomorrow night, but looks like we’ll be hitting up the normal mode again.
