Spyro the Dragon Remastered Trilogy In The Works

Spyro the Dragon

According to a report from Kotaku UK, Activision is gearing up to release a remastering of the Spyro Trilogy in September as a year exclusive for PS4, and then a release next year for other systems.

Vicarious Visions, the Activision-owned studio, is said to be developing the remastered collection. This is the same studio that developed the remastering of the Crash Bandicoot trilogy that released last year on PS4 and should be coming to other systems later this year, and also helped work on Destiny 2 including the PC version.

The remastered trilogy will include Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. According to the report, the game will feature all new assets, cinematics, lighting and animations. The soundtrack will also be remastered and there’ll be an overhaul to the save systems. In addition, there will be PlayStation 4 Pro support.
