Destiny Weekly 4/17/18: The Arms Dealer, Iron Banner

Destiny Weekly

Welcome Guardians to another weekly reset in the world of Destiny. Last week, I grinded the Tree of Probabilities over 20 times, 13 of which were solo, before I finally got the D.F.A. hand cannon to drop. I know, some of you thinking you did it 40 times and didn’t get it, and I feel for you. Some folks were really lucky and got it on the first attempt. That’s RNG.

I will say, while I was getting frustrated every time it didn’t drop, I ultimately enjoyed the grind a lot. It felt like original Destiny when farming for strike specific gear. Kudos to the person at Bungie who put the weapon in the Tree of Probabilities strike. It’s a great hand cannon, but also that strike is probably the easiest Nightfall to solo with relative ease. You could completely run through everything in the Infinite Forest, and after that it’s a short way to the boss who is pretty easy (second room of that fight by far the hardest thing in the whole strike solo).

I just enjoyed farming it, and it felt really good to finally have the weapon drop and even more so since it dropped on what was going to be my final solo attempt of the night anyway. That’s the one drop in Destiny 2 that I’ll remember, late Friday night  just an hour or so away from midnight and my birthday. And solo, which is always fun. It was a nice early birthday present and a good way to end the night.

This week, Iron Banner has returned to Destiny 2 and for the first time it is 6v6 Control. I haven’t played it yet, will be as soon as this post gets published, but I am very much looking forward to grinding this one to finish my season two ornaments and complete my armor collection on both the Titan and Warlock. Plus I want to get some Tokens to stash away for a Season Three Iron Banner. Speaking of seasons, this is the FINAL Iron Banner of Season Two. So this is your last shot at getting the ornaments, and also every season two weapon will be available for purchase.

With all that said, here is your Destiny Weekly Reset for the Week of April 17, 2018:
