Mass Effect 3 Demo Impressions

February 15, 2012 // 4 Comments

The demo for Mass Effect 3 hit PSN and XBLA yesterday, and after playing through the PS3 version a few times, here are my brief impressions. This covers the single player only, as I won’t get to experience the multiplayer until Friday (there will be a Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Demo Impressions posted sometime after playing around that). I say this is a brief impression post, because quite frankly it is a lot like the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2, and you can read my review of that here. There are two parts to this demo. Review: Mass Effect 2

May 28, 2011 // 5 Comments

When the first Mass Effect game came out I had neither a PC that could handle it nor an Xbox 360, and so I missed out on it. When this one, Mass Effect 2, came out I still had neither a PC that could handle it nor an Xbox 360, and so I assumed that once again I’d miss out on it. Our journey begins as Commander Shephard, or your own custom made character if you choose to go that route, and the crew of the Normandy being sent to Eden Prime to assist in securing and recovering an artifact of an ancient, extinct alien race, the Protheans.  As you can expect, all hell breaks loose before, during, and after your arrival.  Chaos and firefights [...]

Review: The Saboteur

April 30, 2011 // 1 Comment

The Saboteur is a World War 2 game, yet one that isn’t boring and worn out. Instead of being a first person shooter reliving the same battles again and again, Saboteur is a third person shooter taking place in Nazi occupied Paris, France. Instead of being a member of one of the Allied military’s, you play as a mechanic turned race car driver named Sean Devlin, who joins the resistance against the Nazi’s for reasons motivated by revenge. During the course of exacting your revenge against the evil Nazi’s, you’re going to blow a lot of stuff up and kill an insane [...]
