United Front Games Reportedly Shuts Down

October 18, 2016 // 2 Comments

Well this came out of nowhere. It seems that United Front Games, the developer behind Sleeping Dogs, Modnation Racers and LittleBigPlanet Karting, has reportedly shut down. The studio was developing the title Smash + Grab which hit Steam Early Access on September 27th. That title is no longer available to purchase. Last year the studio cancelled the planned Sleeping Dogs spinoff Triad Wars. Smith’s Sentiment: This one is rough. It’s always sad to see a developing studio shutdown, but United Front Games was a really talented studio. I thought Modnation Racers was underrated on PS3, [...]

Elder Scrolls Online Update Removing Content Barriers, Dark Brotherhood Coming to Consoles on Tuesday

June 12, 2016 // 0 Comments

The Elder Scrolls Online is getting an update dubbed “One Tamriel” that will remove all content barriers from the game. This update will allow players to “experience all of Tamriel” regardless of level or alliance. If a low level wants to play with a veteran friend, they’ll be able to do so without alliance restrictions and the game will scale the lower level player up accordingly. These changes will not apply to the game’s PVP areas, as the alliance restrictions will obviously have to remain in place for that. The “One Tamriel” update is coming [...]

New Game Releases for the Week of April 17th – 23rd

April 17, 2016 // 0 Comments

Don’t let the huge list that follows fool you, this is a fairly pedestrian, some would say terrible, week of game releases. I guess you could say it’s a sort of calm before the May storm. This week is dominated by indie games and arcade classics. If those are your thing, then you’re in luck. If not, well then there’s nothing for you this week. Wii U owners are the big winners this week I suppose, as Star Fox Zero releases on Friday. Here’s the full rundown of new games releasing this week: April 18th: Typefighters (PC) Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair (PC) [...]
